TASTING NOTES

The wine has attractive aromas of cedar, tobacco and cherry fruit with a toffee overlay. On the palate the
flavors are seamless; cherry jam, baking spices, clove, cinnamon, and cardamom enhanced with complex
components of mineral, licorice, leather, and hints of graphite. The tannins are soft and nicely balanced by
the fruit.  The wine is well integrated, the fruit fresh and lively, and not overly ripe.

    FOOD PAIRING
Enjoy this wine with grilled meats, lamb, stew, pasta and all but the strongest flavored cheeses.

    VINEYARDS

Ramblin’ Red Cuvee One, is a multi-vintage blend of approximately 45% Cabernet Sauvignon, 30% Syrah,
22% Zinfandel, with 2% Merlot and 1% Petite Verdot.

The Cabernet Sauvignon is predominately from Paso Robles. It adds ripe fruit and firm structure.
The Syrah comes from vineyards in Elk Grove and west of Lodi.  It adds texture, soft fruit, and nice licorice
    flavors to the blend.
The Zinfandel was harvested from Lake County. It adds the higher tone fruits and the leather notes. Its
seamless integration with the Cabernet is such that it does not dominate the cuvee.
The Merlot and the Petit Verdot add notes of complexity.

All the lots were fermented in stainless steel and aged in oak of various ages.
American oak 90%, French oak 10%.
